Digital images of the physical world
2017
Photographic series, heavily used smartphones, custom built table, cables, small objects, variable installation
High Tide (Philadelphia)

In our hyper-technological world, it goes hand in hand that the newest gadgets are eroticized and the natural / physical become exoticized.
Can sublime potential arise where the two meet?

A collection of digital images that meditate on our relationship to (documenting) nature and technology. Prints of the images in the series are made on-demand only; screens are preferred.
This installation comprised of out-of-commission mobile phones was specifically made for a two person exhibition entitled only to find at High Tide in Philadelphia, curated by Kathy Cho.

This was the first photo-based exhibition I had after writing the following text: Why I only shoot digital images (2015)
Documentation by Jessica Williams and Joseph Webb.
